Born and raised in San Diego, Chef Samuel is a local community leader and entrepreneur who puts a genuine passion to his craft and care to his classes and events. His love for the community grew in his time working for Judy Forman, owner of the Big Kitchen Cafe, where he assisted on community events, fundraisers, and on the line serving delicious breakfast. At the beginning of 2020 Samuel took over Bud and Robs in East Village. He took great pride in helping people in the community find their next meal and he learned the secrets of Nola cuisine from the illustrious chef Bud Deslatte, prior owner of Buds Cafe and the Bayou Bar and Grill. Now owner of the hospitality company Calibyu, Samuel is primed to offer California Soul for those who want a taste of his simply delicious cuisine.
