A MESSAGE FROM T3 FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, MORIE WILLIAMS
Dear Friends and Arts Supporters,
I hope you will join us in our excitement developing a new Work-Based Learning Concept called “Rising Stars” seeking to create professional working environments for talented young performers, while giving them artistic ownership by providing some compensation. It is a tremendous opportunity to spearhead this concept.
I know first hand the importance of mentorships that prepare young people to take their first steps as professionals in the entertainment industry. At 16, I had the opportunity to participate in work-based learning programs with both the San Jose and the Saratoga Civic Light Operas. The life experience I gained working alongside seasoned professionals was invaluable and allowed me to hit the ground running when I was hired by the Walt Disney Company at 18, right out of high school.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to perform my way across 7 continents and in hundreds of countries. These experiences flamed my hunger for performing, and one of my biggest joys has always been sharing that passion with young performing artists; this led me to start Triple Threat.
Every day, T3 inspires me to craft my best work both on and off the stage. I do this by surrounding myself with those who collaborate well and can elevate a project to the next level. I am working with some exceptional professionals in the industry, and I hope you will join us in our efforts by making a financial contribution. With your generous support, together, we can prepare a new generation of performers through a system that teaches skills and artistic integrity by allowing young artists to earn back part of the success they create.
