ARTS SPACES FOR EVERYONE IN SAN DIEGO

An arts access initiative supported by The Prebys Foundation, offering affordable, flexible spaces for rehearsals, performances, classes, and community events at the North Park Recreation Center.

SHARE YOUR ART FROM THE HEART OF THE PARK

Every creative endeavor deserves a place to grow. This initiative opens access to affordable, flexible arts spaces equipped with lighting, sound, seating, and staging—giving independent artists, small ensembles, teaching artists, community groups, and nonprofits what they need to bring their work to life.

Creators of all backgrounds now have access to professional-grade equipment and adaptable spaces to rehearse, teach, perform, meet, fundraise, screen, and create—without long-term contracts and with pricing designed to meet artists where they are.

The North Park Recreation Center is a hidden creative campus, featuring a mini amphitheater, rehearsal halls, multipurpose rooms, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen.

Together, we’re strengthening creative spaces and making arts venues more accessible—financially and socially—for everyone. Presenting work in San Diego just became a whole lot easier.

Rehearsal spaces start at $35/hr. Event pricing varies based on setup, size, and support
needs.

HOW OUR VENUES & SPACES INITIATIVE WORKS

Theatre Under The Stars

How It Works

  1. Submit a space request
  2. We confirm availability, pricing, and permits
  3. Rehearse, create, or host your event

Our team follows up within 48 hours.

Since 2001, T3 has worked to bring artists together to collaborate, create, and tell stories. We began as a donation-based program created to remove barriers for artists from historically marginalized communities—and that commitment to access still guides us today.

Through the Arts Ecosystem: Venues & Spaces Initiative, we help open the North Park Recreation Center’s mini amphitheater, rehearsal halls, multipurpose rooms, and commercial kitchen to artists, youth groups, and community organizations for rehearsals, performances, workshops, classes, meetings, and community events.

If We Haven’t Met Yet…

Hi, I'm Morie!

Since 2013, I’ve partnered with the City of San Diego to make arts spaces more welcoming and accessible. T3 helps open the doors to the North Park Recreation Center’s theatre and creative rooms so artists and community groups can create, rehearse, and share their work. Let’s make something together.

WE COULDN'T DO this without the support of our partners

See what others have to say about our programs at T3.
